The QA Inspector prepares product for inspection, inspects product, and assembles commercial-grade sporting optics and accessories. The inspector will work under direct supervision, following procedures and standard work instructions. This is a full-time position with predominantly daytime hours. Some non-standard work shifts may be required.
Responsibilities and Duties:
The QA Inspector prepares product for inspection, inspects product, and assembles commercial-grade sporting optics and accessories. The inspector will work under direct supervision, following procedures and standard work instructions. Responsibilities and Duties:
- Inspects optical components and accessories for defects, using various techniques, tools, and computer aided equipment.
- Performs in a factory-style inspection line, which may also include mechanical assembly of small parts.
- Perform repetitive work requiring dexterity and hand/eye coordination
- Runs software to report and/or record defects
- Reads inspection standards, processes, should also be able to understand and follow work instructions
- Reports problems with quality, processes, equipment, materials or questionable conditions to the department manager
- Follows instruction to meet daily objectives
- Complies with policies, guidelines, prescribed safety regulations, and regulatory requirements
- Performs other duties, as needed, within the Primary Arms Team
- Detail oriented
- Legally authorized to work in the United States
- Able to read, write and speak English fluently
- Be a team player and work well under pressure
- Have an excellent work ethic
- Willing to learn, grow, and take on additional responsibilities as they arise
- Be proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, Power Point)
- Soldering experience with PWAs, small parts, and wires
- Some experience working with microscopes for some processes. Understanding and/or passion for optics and outdoor shooting sports
- The desire to grow, improve processes, and present ideas in a clear and concise manner
- High school diploma required; Associate degree preferred
- Ability to work in a clean room environment, stand or sit for long periods of time
- Must wear clean room attire and always adhere to clean room environmental protocols where applicable.
- Must be able to lift 25 pounds at times
